Getech Partners with Professor Hu Guorong's Team at Central South University to Jointly Promote Intelligent Innovation and Development in the New Energy Industry
As one of the global leaders in semiconductor display, TCL CSOT is a national champion in manufacturing and has passed the Smart Manufacturing Maturity Level 4 assessment, representing the industry's leading standards. During the tour, guests observed TCL CSOT's investments and on-site management in smart manufacturing, experiencing the speed driven by 'Smart Manufacturing + Technological Innovation' and the intelligent prowess of Chinese manufacturing in the Industry 4.0 era.
During the presentation session, Professor Hu Guorong of Central South University, Luo Huanta (founder of TD), Tian Dangku (TCL CSOT Smart Manufacturing Expert), Li Nan (General Manager of Getech New Energy Business Group), and Wang Hui (General Manager of Getech Dual Carbon Business Department) shared insights on topics such as the current status and trends of the lithium battery cathode materials industry, the global journey of China's lithium battery industry chain, TCL CSOT's smart manufacturing layout, new energy industry trends, and the EU's New Battery Act.
During the event, Getech signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Professor Hu Guorong's team. The two parties will deeply integrate and collaborate closely to promote the intelligent upgrading of lithium battery cathode materials, driving smart manufacturing advancements in the new energy industry.
Central South University is a leading institution in the new energy field, often referred to as the 'Whampoa Military Academy' of China's new energy industry. It has cultivated 75% of the entrepreneurial talent in the domestic new energy battery industry. Core technical personnel from companies such as BYD, CATL, Sany Lithium, and GEM also maintain close ties with Central South University.
Under the cooperation agreement, Getech and Professor Hu Guorong's team will combine their strengths to share technology, talent, and market resources in the lithium cathode materials industry. They will focus on planning and consulting for lithium battery material factories, developing application systems, and implementing project solutions to drive intelligent upgrades in lithium cathode materials. Additionally, the two parties will jointly research smart factory solutions for the cathode materials field, empowering R&D efficiency improvements, data-driven process and quality optimization, intelligent material production management, full lifecycle management of material equipment, and energy and dual-carbon management solutions.
Furthermore, to strengthen R&D innovation in new energy smart manufacturing, Getech has specially appointed Professor Hu Guorong as its New Energy Expert Advisor. Professor Hu Guorong is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University, a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Technical Committee of the Advanced Battery Materials Engineering Research Center under the Ministry of Education. His research team, focused on lithium battery materials, was one of the earliest in China to engage in the R&D and industrialization of lithium cathode materials, with research outcomes leading to the establishment of multiple lithium cathode material enterprises.
Professor Hu Guorong stated that he will fully leverage his expertise to work with Getech on addressing long-term, strategic challenges in new energy smart manufacturing, researching and implementing new technologies and models to drive innovation and upgrading in the industry.

Driving continuous innovation and breakthroughs in China's new energy industry requires the participation of multiple industry forces. Getech will continue to engage with more industry experts and partners to promote collaborative innovation across the new energy industry chain and contribute to the digital intelligence upgrading of the new energy sector.
