How to instantly view global production line data and manage production from the office? Getech is working with Shenzhen Gongjin Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Gongjin Shares') to gradually achieve this goal.

Gongjin Shares primarily engages in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of communication products and advanced mobile communication equipment, with annual sales exceeding ten billion yuan. Production lines are distributed in Shenzhen (headquarters), Taicang, Haining, and Vietnam.

With increasing market competition, to further enhance product competitiveness, Gongjin Shares urgently needs to strengthen unified management and coordinated operation of factories at home and abroad, maximizing the match between market demand and production capacity, as well as improving product quality.

In the past, due to the layout of multiple factories domestically and internationally, corporate decision-makers had to frequently travel between factories for on-site inspections, making it difficult to efficiently grasp the overall situation and optimize production capacity. Additionally, the pandemic in recent years severely impacted travel, wasting human and time costs, and preventing immediate and efficient analysis and adjustment of production deployments.

To address this, Gongjin Shares decided to implement intelligent factory transformation: using digital technologies and methods to achieve integrated management of global factories.

In September 2022, Gongjin Shares partnered with Getech to launch the Taicang factory equipment interconnection project, officially starting the intelligent construction of global factories.

The Taicang factory equipment interconnection project includes multiple products and services such as IoT platform, equipment data collection, TPM total productive maintenance management, BI data visualization, and intelligent applications. It connects hundreds of core production equipment in Gongjin's SMT workshop, achieving interconnection of production information, equipment information, equipment maintenance information, intelligent applications, and control.

For Gongjin Shares' cross-regional and cross-national industrial layout, Getech's IoT platform leverages massive data collection capabilities, high-concurrency and low-latency data access, and distributed cross-regional data aggregation to achieve real-time, comprehensive, and cross-regional access to SMT process equipment data.

The IoT project adopts a combination of group-level and local deployment:

Ø At the factory level, deploy localized system platforms for real-time collection of high-concurrency equipment data, using low-latency intelligent control applications for indicator monitoring;

Ø At the group level, establish a unified group platform to manage massive data needs, including order completion progress, efficiency achievement rates, quality levels, and real-time monitoring of equipment and process levels, providing unified, real-time, and efficient production operation data services for group management decisions.

Thanks to this, the headquarters can finally 'move' production lines from thousands of miles away into their office.

In the digital factory cockpit composed of large visualization screens, dynamic data from production lines in various locations is displayed intuitively and realistically in chart form, helping managers timely understand factory operation status and precisely issue production commands, including: order completion progress management and scheduling, comparative analysis and improvement of efficiency levels across different factories, quality level differential analysis and improvement, and equipment and process level differential analysis and improvement, greatly enhancing the efficiency and capability of refined production control, achieving the goal of joint management of multiple factories.

Additionally, products and services such as TPM total productive maintenance management and BI data visualization provide Gongjin Shares with stronger reporting and data processing capabilities, enabling production management departments to quickly implement data display needs, thus maximizing the value of SMT workshop data.

After the completion of the above projects, in the case of increased order volume and insufficient production capacity, the manufacturing department will comprehensively monitor the factory's production capacity achievement rate through the IOT platform, monitor and improve the abnormal downtime loss of equipment in real time, comprehensively improve the comprehensive utilization rate of equipment and product production quality indicators, unify command and scheduling, optimize and improve shortcomings in a timely manner, improve overall production efficiency, reduce equipment procurement costs, and enhance the company's overall order delivery capability.

After the successful pilot in Taicang factory, next will be Shenzhen Pingshan factory, Haining factory, and Vietnam factory. Through the transformation from 'traditional experience-based operation mode' to 'digital lean operation mode', Gongjin Shares will build 'global factory integrated management', setting a benchmark for cross-regional digital and intelligent management.
