On the afternoon of August 30, the technical seminar on "Digital Intelligence Driven · Smart Innovation: Three-Dimensional R&D Data Standardization in the Smart Equipment Industry" was held in Shenzhen. Focusing on the theme of "cost reduction and efficiency improvement" in the smart equipment industry, it addressed the standardization management and application of three-dimensional R&D data in product development, highlighting common practices and pain points for companies in the "non-standard product" R&D sector, and emphasizing practical applications and solutions needed for corporate digital transformation. The event was hosted by the Shenzhen Electronic Equipment Industry Association, Shenzhen Intelligent Equipment Industry Association, and others, with technical representatives from over 20 listed companies including GETECH, Hanchuan Intelligent, Estun Automation, CADEANS, ZTE, Sunwoda, and more than 40 smart equipment enterprises in attendance.




Jiang Yuan, Product Business Head of GETECH's Industrial Control Intelligence Department was invited to attend and deliver a keynote speech titled "Deepening Industry Scenarios, Empowering Enterprise Digital Intelligence Innovation". Addressing key points of hardware-software integration in inspection equipment and industrial applications for the semiconductor field, core AOI smart equipment products, and customer use cases, he highlighted the internal logic and vast prospects of intelligent inspection equipment in semiconductors, contributing new experiences and wisdom to the industry.




According to Grand View Research forecasts, the global AOI equipment market is expected to reach $19.4 billion by 2027, with a CAGR of 8% from 2023 to 2027. China's AOI market space is projected to grow from $3.3 billion to about $5.5 billion, with a CAGR of 15% during the same period, significantly higher than the global average. This reflects the widespread application and importance of AOI equipment in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. As Jiang Yuan introduced, GETECH, as an AI-driven industrial intelligence solutions provider, covers various smart equipment, including semiconductor AMHS automatic material handling equipment, AOI inspection equipment, gateways/all-in-one machines, and other industrial devices. As is well known, the trial-and-error cost in semiconductor manufacturing is extremely high, especially for defect detection of products themselves, where loss costs involve bidirectional measurement of equipment processes and product craftsmanship. Addressing these industry pain points, Jiang Yuan emphasized that GETECH has tackled product compliance uncertainties through AOI smart equipment and Tianshu AI inspection software. He stated that these uncertainties can be detected in time by AOI equipment, and through AI deep learning algorithms embedded in the products, quality and defects can be intelligently analyzed in advance for early detection and handling. When discussing core products, Jiang Yuan explained, "Leveraging industrial AI platform capabilities, combined with optical design, precision mechanical design, electrical control design, software development, and industry know-how, the company has developed three product series: Tianshu - AI Inspection Software, Yaoguang - Pan-Semiconductor Display AOI, and Yuheng - Semiconductor AOI, to address bottlenecks and pain points in pan-semiconductor and photovoltaic ADC intelligent inspection; panel product appearance and image, glass appearance inspection and repair; semiconductor wafer material process macro monitoring, substrate shipment, and epitaxial incoming material monitoring."




It is understood that defect detection in the semiconductor field covers multiple processes, with appearance inspection being the first step, including checks for scratches, cracks, deformations, misalignments, etc. After appearance meets standards, physical and chemical inspections follow. In semiconductors, AOI wafer appearance defect inspection equipment is primarily used to detect wafer appearance issues. As chip device sizes shrink and integration increases, sensitivity to微小 defects in upstream wafers during production is growing. AOI equipment, with high-resolution optical lenses and flexible image processing software, can detect micron-level defects, improving wafer reliability and performance while reducing defect rates and costs. This is thanks to the deep application of AI technology in machine vision, enhancing judgment equipment. Recently, GETECH won the Industrial Internet World's "2024 Top 20 Industrial Machine Vision Pioneers" award for outstanding performance in technological innovation, product performance, and market influence.
