Building the Foundation for Manufacturing Resilience, GETECH Supports Semiconductor Display Giant's MIS System to Achieve Autonomous Control
Against the backdrop of intense competition in the global semiconductor display industry, the unification and autonomy of core production management systems have become key supports for enterprises to enhance operational efficiency and strategic security. Recently, GETECH successfully supported TCL CSOT (Guangzhou) in smoothly switching its core MIS system. The project started from continuing to use the acquired LGD's Oracle ERP system and eventually migrated smoothly to TCL CSOT's autonomous management platform based on SAP architecture. This system switch involved over 1,000 interface connections and data migration, while ensuring production continuity, completed the autonomous upgrade of the operational management system, setting a new benchmark for the autonomy of core systems in China's advanced manufacturing industry.
After completing the acquisition of important panel production lines, TCL CSOT faced practical challenges in integrating different management systems. The original LGD ERP system differed from TCL CSOT's existing management system in business processes, financial accounting logic, and data formats, creating resistance to cross-base unified management decisions and efficiency. GETECH's project team focused on solving the client's core issues:
- Adapt to multiple systems and unify management logic. Using TCL CSOT's standardized business processes as a framework, combined with localized business characteristics for adaptive optimization, establishing an efficient operating mode under a unified management context.
- Overcome data interoperability challenges with zero interruption to production data. This switch needed to ensure compatibility with important legacy systems, such as LGD MES. This production execution system contains over 1,000 business interfaces. GETECH helped by detailing business rules, developing precise data mapping and conversion plans, and building an efficient data conversion platform. This enabled key data including materials, BOM, and process parameters to be accurately identified and interact between TCL CSOT's new system and LGD MES, effectively ensuring production continuity during the switch.
- Normalize core data for real-time and credible operational decisions. Achieved unified collection and analysis of cross-base financial data and core operational indicators, significantly enhancing the credibility and timeliness of decision support, laying a solid foundation for its unified management.
During project implementation, GETECH demonstrated solid service capabilities. First, deeply understanding TCL CSOT's management and panel production characteristics, accurately grasping the balance point between large group unified management and localized production, and delivering effective collaborative solutions; second, possessing mature experience in complex system integration and data migration, facing complex scenarios requiring connection to systems from different vendors such as MES and ERP for conversion, GETECH, based on strict gap analysis, rule formulation, and data conversion platform construction, achieved accurate identification and business connection of data flows; third, rigorous project decomposition management and risk control mechanisms, the project followed a phased path of transition-migration-re-switch, with each step fully verified and contingency plans prepared, maximizing zero interruption to customer business operations during the system switch process.
The project goes beyond operational optimization for a single enterprise and holds multiple values for the industry and supply chain.
