Guanggu Craftsman Cup finals coaching enters Getech, AI empowers skilled talents to open new thinking in intelligent manufacturing

On August 28, the 2026 "Guanggu Craftsman Cup" 4th Optical Electronic Information and Artificial Intelligence Industry Cluster Skills Competition final project coaching session and Model Worker Craftsman Enterprise Assistance Activity were held at Getech. Leaders of Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone Federation of Trade Unions, industry experts, model workers and craftsmen representatives, relevant persons in charge of Getech, and finalists gathered together to exchange ideas on AI empowering optoelectronic manufacturing, innovative practices of skilled talents, and industrial application implementation.

As AI rapidly enters manufacturing sites, industrial skilled talents now need to face an extension from traditional skill operations to AI technology applications and industrial innovation. Since its launch in July, this year's "Guanggu Craftsman Cup" has focused on the digitalization and intelligent development of the optical electronic information industry, centered on AI-empowered optoelectronic manufacturing upgrading applications, and set up two tracks: R&D Innovation Group and Business Comprehensive Group, attracting more than 40 leading and specialized innovative enterprises to participate, with over 20 high-quality projects shortlisted for the finals. Arranging the final project coaching at Getech also enables contestants to further understand how technology enters industry from real industrial AI practices.


At the event, Peng Chang, General Manager of Getech's Central China Regional Business, delivered a speech, and Yang Li, Senior Marketing Director of Getech, shared insights on the theme "From Seeing to Acting: AI Creating a New Paradigm for Intelligent Manufacturing." She pointed out that industrial AI is undergoing a capability leap from perception, analysis, generation to decision-making and execution. In the past, AI mainly helped machines see production sites and understand production data; with the development of Agentic AI, AI has begun to further connect enterprise data, industrial knowledge, and business systems, moving toward autonomously completing industrial tasks and forming a closed loop of "data-analysis-decision-execution."


However, truly bringing AI into production sites is not simply connecting general large models to industrial systems. Yang Li, based on Getech's practices, pointed out that industrial scenarios impose higher requirements on certainty, consistency, real-time performance, security, and traceability. AI also needs to understand enterprise proprietary data, industrial knowledge, and business processes, and solve implementation challenges such as adaptation difficulties, critical hallucinations, isolated operations, and black-box trust.

To address these challenges, Getech uses the Octopus Brain Agentic AI platform as its core, based on industrial software, and builds a full-lifecycle engineering framework for industrial intelligent agents through enterprise context access, large-small model collaboration, agent collaborative engineering, and industrial-grade operation, maintenance, and security - an industrial version of Harness Engineering capabilities. This moves AI from demo toward controllable, trustworthy, and implementable industrial applications.


From concept to practice, Getech also shared industrial intelligent agent applications such as production anomaly management and quality analysis optimization. Among them, the digital employee for production anomaly management can filter alarms through rule-AI collaboration, locate problems, invoke system capabilities, and promote closed-loop anomaly handling. The closure time for important anomalies can be reduced from several hours in the past to 0.5 hours.

After the sharing session, the activity continued with final project improvement skills sharing, competition rules and evaluation standards briefing, model worker and craftsman experience sharing, and on-site Q&A. Participants also visited Getech's Industrial Intelligent Innovation Base. From skill competition arenas to industrial sites, from knowing how to use AI to using AI to solve real industrial problems, this activity further connected skilled talent cultivation with artificial intelligence industry practices. In the future, Getech will continue to drive deep integration of technology, talent, and industry through industrial AI practices, transforming AI innovation capabilities more quickly into new momentum for the intelligent upgrade of manufacturing.
