Getech Showcases Practical Experience at Yangtze River Delta Industrial Internet Summit
Recently, the 2018 Yangtze River Delta Industrial Internet Summit and the launch conference of the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor Industrial Internet Collaborative Innovation Project were held in Songjiang District, Shanghai. Dr. Wang Jin, Solution Director of Getech, was invited to deliver a speech at the summit. Government officials from three provinces and one municipality, along with domestic and international industry experts and representatives, gathered to discuss "Regional Cooperation and Collaborative Development," implementing the national strategy for high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and promoting the development of the industrial internet service system in the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor.
Wang Jin delivered a keynote speech titled "Application of High-Precision Positioning Technology in Industrial Internet Services."
The industrial internet platform integrates a wide range of connected industry applications, unifying product development, quality control, energy management, real-time on-site data monitoring, and full equipment data management for large manufacturing industries. It enables batch extraction, processing, mining, and refining of real-time data, making it possible to support high-precision real-time positioning needs for personnel and equipment within factories/workshops.
Wang Jin elaborated on the advantages and disadvantages of common indoor positioning technologies and network selections in terms of positioning accuracy, reliability, security, and energy consumption, based on Getech's ongoing research on indoor personnel positioning systems. Considering the complexity of functional areas in factory workshops, he proposed integrated positioning technology and shared substantial insights. Wang Jin stated that the industrial internet represents the full connectivity of production factors such as people, processes, data, and objects, and will undoubtedly create limitless possibilities in the deep integration of manufacturing and informatization.
Subsequently, during a roundtable discussion themed "Exploring Industrial Internet System Practices," Wang Jin shared Getech's practical experience in the field of industrial internet.
He emphasized that current industrial internet applications still need to address common scenarios, issues, solutions, and resources. Excessive emphasis on customization and personalization has widened the gap in the popularization of industrial internet. The industrial internet should learn from the core spirit of the internet: openness and sharing. Utilizing "software-defined" approaches can achieve flexibility and reduce the costs associated with the "82 inversion." Embracing open-source sharing can lower the costs of industrial internet adoption.
Collaborative development, openness, and sharing. Since its inception, Getech has been committed to building a universal industrial internet platform with an open, sharing, and integrated mindset, helping enterprises achieve digital, informational, and intelligent transformation. This aligns perfectly with the summit's goal of promoting resource sharing and efficient collaboration within the Yangtze River Delta region, fostering the construction of an industrial internet ecosystem.
