On November 1, the 2018 China (Huizhou) Industrial Internet Promotion Conference, guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and hosted by the China Center for Information Industry Development, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Huizhou Municipal Government, was held in Huizhou. Government officials, industry experts, and representatives from industrial internet companies gathered to share insights and engage in lively discussions on the theme 'Industrial Internet Empowers Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading.' Dr. Li Nan, Chief Consulting Expert of Getech Industrial Internet, was invited to attend and delivered a speech titled 'When Industrial Internet Meets AI.'

As traditional manufacturing transitions to smart manufacturing, companies are increasingly demanding higher product quality, making defect detection particularly important. Due to the numerous inspection steps in industrial production, most of which currently rely on subjective visual inspections by personnel, issues such as large quality deviations, slow inspection speeds, lengthy training times, and high labor costs arise. In his keynote speech, Li Nan shared practical applications of visual inspection xAI in industrial manufacturing, using a project implemented by Getech at a liquid crystal panel factory as an example. By using AOI intelligent equipment to extract product images and perform intelligent image recognition, and then employing an ADC system based on AI and big data technology for automatic defect classification, this approach not only reduces labor costs but also significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of product defect detection, enhancing overall corporate benefits. The combination of visual inspection and AI is like giving industry its own eyes and brain.

Li Nan stated that industrial internet platforms are generally supported by three major components: the IoT platform, the big data platform, and the intelligent application platform. The IoT platform enables device connectivity, the big data platform integrates enterprise operations, and the intelligent application platform builds advanced smart factories.
