GETECH Facilitates Intelligent Upgrade of Distribution IoT

2019-07-01 转自:百家号

Recently, the 2019 (Third) China Distribution Technology Summit Forum, themed 'Interpreting the Architecture System of Distribution IoT and Promoting High-Quality Development of Energy Interconnection', was held in Beijing. The forum was jointly hosted by the China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the Science and Technology Development Service Center of the China Electricity Council, with over 1,000 experts and scholars in the field of distribution attending. At the forum, the State Grid Corporation of China's Equipment Management Department released a series of innovative achievements in distribution IoT technology development. Power companies from Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanghai, and other regions shared and demonstrated the engineering applications and related technological innovations of distribution IoT.

Gechuang's smart grid IoT gateway device series products were integrated and displayed in the Zhejiang Power Distribution IoT Demonstration Project. 'Distribution IoT,' as the practical implementation of the 'Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things' in the distribution field, achieves perfect integration of IoT and distribution networks. The Gechuang smart grid IoT gateway device showcased by Zhejiang Power is a key component of the distribution IoT demonstration project and one of the core components of the Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things at the perception layer. It helps realize various IoT applications, including smart metering, smart grids, distribution automation, monitoring and data acquisition, and street lighting.

The Gechuang smart grid IoT gateway device is a universal communication platform that can meet the communication infrastructure needs of utilities such as power, gas, and water. It supports integrating Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Distribution Automation (DA), Distributed Energy Resources (DER), and remote automation management into a single platform. In the Zhejiang Power system application, it aggregates CGE from the entire community's RF amplifiers, distribution transformer monitoring terminals (TTU), and user carrier control terminals (CTU), then transmits the data back to the Zhejiang Power Provincial Company Data Center via fiber GE Ethernet.

The signal amplifier, matched with the Gechuang smart grid IoT gateway device in this demonstration, is used to amplify the Mesh signal of the gateway device, extending the mesh transmission distance of the communication network. Through robust industrial hardware design and resilient solution architecture, it helps ensure that message data from areas with weak signals within the community can be transmitted in the Mesh network.

These communication products and technologies can help Zhejiang Power monitor equipment operating status in real-time for distribution applications, conduct targeted proactive maintenance, and substantially improve power supply reliability. They also enable comprehensive fault section analysis, pinpointing outage ranges to the household level. Fault repairs are intelligently handled through a cloud-based master station, transforming traditional passive repairs into proactive maintenance.

It is reported that within this year, China plans to launch the first batch of 'Distribution IoT' demonstration zones in cities such as Tianjin, Shanghai, Qingdao, Nanjing, Suzhou, and Hangzhou, achieving large-scale engineering applications of key distribution IoT technologies and promoting typical application scenarios. GETECH will support the construction of 'Distribution IoT' demonstration zones, addressing current pain points and challenges in the distribution sector.
