On November 15-16, the TCL 8th Technological Innovation Conference and the 3rd Global Technology Cooperation Open Conference were held in Shenzhen. The conference, with the theme 'Innovation Core Engine', showcased TCL's innovative technologies and products across various industries.
TCL Chairman Li Dongsheng, TCL Technology COO Wang Cheng, TCL Industry CEO Du Juan, TCL Huaxing COO Zhao Jun, and other group and industry leaders, technical heads, and R&D backbones attended the meeting; also, technical experts from universities, research institutes, and famous tech companies such as Peking University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Cambridge University, IBM, Siemens, Baidu, etc., with themes of artificial intelligence technology, new display technology, semiconductor photovoltaics, and intelligent manufacturing, presented a 'feast' for TCL's technical warriors.

Award Chapter | Top Honor in R&D Field

As the most significant honor in TCL's R&D field, the '2020-2021 TCL Technological Innovation Award' was also presented by Chairman Li Dongsheng at this conference. Getech Dongzhi, with 'AI Transfer Learning-Based Defect Detection and Classification System', in collaboration with TCL Industrial Research Institute and TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics, won the 'TCL Annual Technological Innovation First Prize'!

One typical application of the AI transfer learning-based defect detection and classification system is the 'ADC Defect Recognition and Classification System' developed by Getech Dongzhi for TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics. It is the earliest introduced and most widely used AI visual inspection product in the industry, independently developed by Getech Dongzhi, completely replacing foreign algorithm platforms, with significant benefits (replacing over 50% of manpower, AI recognition speed increased by 5-10 times, accuracy improved from human eye's 85% to over 90%, achieving annual benefits exceeding ten million).
Additionally, Getech Dongzhi's 'Panel Appearance Inspection AOI-AI Integrated Machine R&D Project' also won the 'TCL Group Technological Innovation Competition Second Prize'! 'Double happiness', proving Getech Dongzhi's hard strength in technology R&D innovation!

Booth Chapter | Attracting Chairman Li's Attention

In the exhibition area, Getech Dongzhi focused on displaying three parts: cloud services (TCL One Cloud), characteristic platforms (TCL Huaxing Digital Intelligence Application Platform), and industrial APP store featured applications (AI Visual Inspection).

At the conference, Chairman Li delivered a speech, first congratulating the winning R&D teams and thanking them for their contributions to the enterprise's development.

Chairman Li stated that manufacturing is the most important component of China's global competitiveness. In the early stages, China's manufacturing development was mainly driven by cost efficiency. Over the past 10 years, it has shifted more towards being driven by technological innovation, achieving transformation and upgrading from traditional manufacturing to advanced manufacturing, enhancing its position and competitiveness in the global industrial division of labor. In the past two years, China has continuously become the country with the largest number of PCT patent applications, and these applications mainly come from enterprises, so it can be said that enterprises have become the main driving force of China's technological innovation.

Finally, Chairman Li said that in the technology field, the value of being the champion and being third is different. He expects colleagues on the technology front to work solidly and strive to be the leader in each细分领域!
Dr. Li Nan, General Manager of Getech Dongzhi's Consulting and Solutions Department, attended the TCL Global Technological Innovation Forum - Semiconductor Photovoltaics and Intelligent Manufacturing Sub-forum and delivered a keynote speech, sharing experiences on how industrial internet helps pan-semiconductor manufacturing industry smart factories, exchanging ideas with technical experts from various universities and enterprises.
